"Hey." Brody said, hugging me from behind. "Hey." I said. "Do you want to go hang out tonight?" He asked. "I can't. I still feel pretty shitty from last night, and I think Chris might want to hang out tonight." I told him. "Oh. Thats cool." He said. He sounded kind of disapointed. "Is that okay?" I asked him. "Yeah, fine." He said. "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow." I said, and finished clocking out. I waived bye to Lukas on my way out and then drove home. When I got there Chris was asleep on the couch. He woke up when I shut the door. "Hey." He said, and yawned. "Long day?" I asked. "Nah. I just slept horribly last night." He said. "Aww. How come?" I asked. "I don't know." He said, and sat up. I sat down next to him on the couch. "Well, I was thinking I could hang out with you tonight." I told him. "Really? You aren't too busy?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes. "No! I'm never too busy for one of my best friends." I told him. "Yeah, thats right missy!" He said, and pinched my side. "HEY! Cut it out." I told him. "Cut it out." He mocked. I stuck my tounge out at him, and jumped up before he could pinch me again. "Where are you going?" He asked. "I am going to change." I told him. "Don't change! You are perfect just how you are." He said. "SHUT UP! That was really dumb." I said, and walked back to my room. After I changed I walked back out and layed down next to Chris on the couch. We started watching old friends reruns. I fell asleep and woke up about an hour later. I didn't see Chris, but I could hear the shower running. My phone rang so I got up to answer it. It was work, but I answered anyway. "Blair." I said. "Hey Blair, it's Jake." Jake said. "Hey. What's up?" I asked. "Can you keep this between you and me for the time being?" He asked. "Yeah, absolutely." I told him. "We are short about 400 bucks." He said. "What?" I asked. "Yeah. I've recounted like 5 times, and we are short 400 dollars." He said. "What do you think is going on?" I asked him. "I don't know, but I trust you the most. I was wondering if you had heard anything." He asked. "No, I havn't." I told him. "Fuck. I'm in trouble if I can't figure this out. Kevin will be furious." He said. "Are sure someone didn't mess up a deposit?" I asked. "No, everything else checks up. We are just short the damn money." He said. "Is there something I can I do?" I asked him. "Just keep an eye out. Let me know if you notice anything strange from anyone." He said. "You think someone that works there stole it?" I asked him. "I don't know. I don't see how else 400 dollars went up and missing." He said. "I'll let you know if I hear anything." I told him. "Thanks. You're a doll." He said, and hung up. "Hey, everything okay?" Chris asked, walking out. "That was Jake." I siad, then told him about the call. "That doesn't sound good." He said. "Yeah, I know." I said. "Put some clothes on! You are dripping water everywhere." "I come out hot and sexy in a towel, and all you can say is put some clothes on?" He asked, and I giggled. "Dork! Go put some clothes on!" I said. He started walking towards me. "Don't you DARE!" I shouted. He just grinned, and ran toward me. I almost made it off the couch before he tackled me!
