"Hey, Blair?" I heard Jake say. I turned around as Chris was pulling up. "Party at my house tonight." He said handing me a flier. "Oh, fliers and everything." I smiled. "Yeah." He winked at me and smiled. "Figured you could use a beer too." "Thanks, Jake." I said. "Bring whoever you want." He said. "I'll be there." I smiled. "Awesome. I'll see you later then." He said. He went back inside the store. I saw him walk out of the store with his skateboard and leave. I assumed he was sent home as well. "Don't sweat it." Chris said as we pulled away. "I'm going to go out to Jake's party tonight." I said. "You can come too if you want." "Um, I don't know. . ." He said. "It's fine if you don't want to." I said smiling. "I'll see if I feel like it later." He said. "Brody going?" I just shrugged my shoulders. "You look blue. Do I need to start rapping?" He asked. I giggled. "No!" He just laughed. "You are so silly." I said. I heard my phone rining. I picked it out of my purse and answered it. "It's Rob. Just thought you might like to hear that they sent your boy home too." He laughed. "Brody?" I asked. "Yup." He said. "The bus doesn't run for like another hour though." I said. "Yeah, he was being a total dick. I offered to drive him home, but he totally ignored me and kept walking." He said. "Damnit." I said. "Sorry." He said. "See ya." I hung up. "Turn down Sherwater." I told Chris. "How come?" He asked. "Cause Brody's being stupid and thinks he can walk all the way home." I said annoyed. "Okay. . ." He said. He turned down Sherwater. A few blocks up, I saw Brody walking and kicking all the rocks in his path. I had Chris stop at some apartments a couple streets ahead of him. I stood next to the car until I saw Brody walking up. I ran over to him. "Oh god. Here we go." Brody said. "Get in the car, Brody." I said. "No." "Stop being stupid and get in the car." I said. "You are not walking all the way home." "I'm walking to Jake's." He said. "I just decided to go to his party." "His party isn't for another four hours." I said. "Then I'll stop at the Pub." He said. "Brody." I said. He sighed. "We're not exactly dating." I said. "I don't know what we are, but you're like my best friend." "Well, stop hiding shit from me then." He said. "I'm not hiding anything." I said. "Yeah." He said looking away. "Get in the car. We'll go to the party together." I said. "You think I want to hang out with him?" He asked pointing to Chris in the car. I looked over at him. He was looking down at the radio. I pushed Brody's hand down. "I don't think he's going to the party. He didn't sound like he wanted to." I said. "So, it'll just be the two of us. I cant take you home afterwards, or you can just crash at my place." He looked really frustrated. He walked passed me and got in the back seat of the car. I sighed and got back in the car. Chris drove back to our apartment. "I'll be in my room." Chris said when we walked in. I think he figured Brody and I should talk. "Tell me why you're so upset." I told him. "You totally lead me on, Blair." He said. "Shh!" I said quietly. I grabbed his hand and we went to my bedroom. I closed the door behind me. He sat down at my desk and started surfing the net. I layed back on my bed. After a few minutes, he turned to me. "Blair, it's not that I don't think he's a good guy. . ." He said. "I know." I said sitting up. "But, you kissed me back." He said. "I know and I'm sorry." I said. "I'm not." He said. "And I still can't figure out why you turned to him for comfort and not me." "I told you what happen." I said. "I know." He sighed. I giggled. "I never thought you'd be so jelous." He smiled. "I just can't stop thinking about what it would be like." He said. "If it was me there that day." "Well, for Chris, I don't have to dress up as Princess Leia." I said. He laughed. "It's not a requirement." He said. "And jesus, you make me sound like such a geek." "You are a geek." I said smiling. "I'm not THAT bad." He said. "I know." "I'm still here. Don't forget about me. Anything you need." He said. "I know, sweetie." I said. I got up and walked over to him. I gave him a hug. "So do I have any chance tonight after a few daquiris?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. "I'm not so sure about that, but I won't say no. I can't predict the future." I smiled. He smiled. I gave him another hug. "Well, what do you say we go get some smoothies, babydoll?" He said. "Okay." I said smiling. "Just the two of us?" He asked making a funny face. I nodded as we walked out of my room. "Be back in a bit!" I shouted to Chris. We left and started down Crimson St to walk to the local soda shop. They served, candy, ice cream and smoothies. I was excited, because I hadn't been there for a while. Brody put his arm around me. "I'll try to lay off a little." He said. I just smiled.
