"Chris, can we talk?" I asked as he was putting on Friends. "Yeah, sure." He said. "Do you have feelings for me?" I asked him. "No, of course not." He said, and smiled at me. "You are lying." I told him. "No, I'm not." He said. "Hun. I can tell when you lie." I told him. "Okay, I do." He said, sitting down on the bed next to me. "I just don't want to stop what we have." He said. "I knew we should have never gotten involved." I said, and leaned back against the wall. "We have a lot of fun. Don't say that." He said, and leaned back too. He picked up my hand and held it in his. "Chris. You are an amazing friend, and I love you, but I don't have feelings for you beyond our friendship." I told him. He pulled his hand away from mine. "I'm sorry Chris." I told him. "Yeah. I guess I was just hoping you had grown more attached to me." He said, and looked down at his hands. I wasn't sure what to say to him. "Sorry." I said again. "It's okay. It's my own fault for getting so attached to you. Let's watch some Friends." He said, and started the DVD. I didn't feel like watching it anymore, but after a few episodes our moods lightened. Chris started to fall asleep, so I turned off the TV. "Night." I said, and kissed his cheek. He closed his eyes, and his face crinkled a little bit. I looked like he was going to cry. I just sighed and walked to my room. I layed down in bed, but I couldn't sleep, so I got up and walked to the kitchen. Brody was watching some program on the discovery channel. "Hey." He whispered. "You okay?" "Yeah. I just can't sleep. Do you want some icecream?" I asked him. "Yeah, sure." He said. I scooped us both a bowl and joined him on the couch.
