It was a Sunday, so we closed down the shop at 6:00. Brody and I were the last ones out. Jake was still there, but he was just doing paperwork. "Hey, we're off early tonight. Do you want to hang out at my place or something?" He asked me. "Um. Really?" I asked. He had never asked me over to his house before. "Yeah. It would be pretty fun." He said. The first thing I thought of was Chris, and it surprised me. "Um, maybe another night. How about we go get a beer instead?" I asked him. "Sure." He said, and smiled. We got in my car and I drove to a bar that wasn't too far from my place. We sat down, ordered drinks and some potato skins. "So, Ariel wasn't available tonight?" I asked him. He laughed. "I don't know, I didn't ask her." He said. "Why not?" I asked him. "I wanted to hang out with you. Damn." He said, and I laughed. "I'm sorry!" I said. "It's okay. Now how long is it going to be before you tell me you are sleeping with Chris?" He asked. "Excuse me?" I asked him. "It's obvious. You guys act different around each other now." He said. "Really? I guess I'm just not sure I want to make a big deal out of it. It's just a fling." I said. "Does Chris know that?" He asked. "Yeah, why?" "Because he got jealous everytime I touched you, or came near you." He said. "He does." I said again. I was getting a little annoyed. "Sorry. Moving on." He said, and took a drink of his beer. "HEY! GUYS!" Someone shouted. I looked up. "Oh god!" I muttered. "What?" Brody asked. "Eddie." I said. "Fuck." Brody whispered. Eddie was in his late 30's and tried everything he could to look and act like he was still a teenager. Even though he was balding, had no sense of style, and wore these dumb glasses. He was a customer that hung out in the store all the time. Much to the annoyance of all of us. Especially me. He had a huge crush on me! "Wow! Imagine seening my dogs here!" He said, and sat down next to me, knocking me over into the wall. I suddenly regretted sitting in a booth where I couldn't get away from him. He put his arm around me, and I cringed. Brody was trying not to laugh. Eddie started going off on his new calogne, which stunk! I looked up at Brody and mouthed 'Help Me!'. "Hey, Eddie. We were just about to go man." Brody said. "Aw really? Where you going? The Rainbow Room? The Martini Club?" He asked. I knew he had never been in those clubs. He was just dropping the names. "Home." Eddie said. "Home?" He asked. "Yeah. We're sorta dating now." Brody lied. I had to try not to let out a giggle. "OH! Sorry man." Eddie said. "It's cool. You didn't know." Brody told him. "Sorry." Eddie said again, and left. We watched him even leave the bar. "Shit. He looks upset." I said. "I hate that guy. He's so weird." Brody said. "He's weird, but harmless. And wearing way to much calogne." I said. Brody and I sat for a few hours drinking and talking before we finaly decided to leave. We were both WAY too drunk to drive, so we just walked to my place. I opened the doors and all the lights were off, meaning Chris was out. I flipped the lighs on and stumpled to the couch, and fell over on it. Brody followed me, and went to sit down, but he tripped and fell ontop of me. We both started laughing! "Fuch! Howmuch did wedrunk?" He asked me. "I doooonnnnt know." I said, and we both laughed at how drunk the other person sounded. "You have pretty eyes." Brody said, and I started laughing. "Really!" He said, and started laughing too. Much to my surprize, and Brody's too, I put my hand on the back of his neck, then leaned up a little bit and kissed him. We kissed for a second, then stopped and looked at each other. I suddenly didn't feel so drunk anymore. Brody grinned, and then kissed me back. I heard the key in the door and we both stopped, and sat up on the couch. I turned on the TV. "Oh, hey Brody!" Chris said, when he walked in. "What are you doing here?" "We were too drink to druve home." I said, and Brody and I started laughing. "I see that." Chris said, and laughed. "Well, I'm going to bed. See you guys later." He said. I looked up at him and he loooked like something was bothering him. I wanted to go see what was wrong, but I knew I wouldn't be of much help this drunk so I let him go to bed. "Spongebob?" Brody asked me. "Huh?" "Wanna watch Spongebob?" He clarified. "Yeah." I said, and stumbled to the dvd player and put it on.
