Chapter Ten

"I think I need clothes." Brody said.
I laughed. "You can probably borrow something from Chris for tomorrow."
"No." He said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"I'll have my Mom drop some off." He said.
"That's silly." I said.
"You're silly." He said. He grabbed me and pulled me on top of him. I started laughing, then remembered Chris was sleeping.
"Rawr baby! Rawr!" He said loudly.
"Shhh." I giggled.
Right then, Chris walked into the room. I jumped up. He put his jacket on.
"Where are you going?" I asked him.
"Just for a walk." He said.
"Well, wait. I'll join you." I said.
"No." He said. "Just. . ." He held out his hand. He looked at me as he opened the door.
"Chris." I said.
He walked out the door and closed it. I felt like crying. "I'll be right back." I told Brody. I didn't even bother to put a jacket on. I spotted him walking towards the playground and I ran to catch up to him. He quickly put his hand in his pocket like he was hiding something. "Hey." I said jumping in front of him.
He sighed and bit his bottom lip. The look he had on his face was the same look he had when he was on the phone with his Mom and found out his Grandpa had just died. I got on my tip toes and wrapped my arms around his neck. He put his arms around my waist and pulled me in close to him.
"I get myself into the toughest situations." He said.
"Eh. We all do." I said.
"Is this over? Or are we good until one of us meets someone?" He asked as he let go of me.
"Well, I wouldn't want to screw with your feelings any more than I already have." I said.
"You won't be." He said.
"Yes I would."
"No." He laughed. "You won't be."
"And how is that?" I asked smiling.
"I already know nothing else will ever happen." He said.
"I already feel bad though."
"Don't." He said. "I'm a big boy."
I giggled. "I KNOW."
He blushed. "Blair."
It was so cute when he got embarassed. It would turn him into this little boy. "Well, it's true." I said.
He smiled and looked away.
"You're cute." I said.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." He said.
"Why the hell am I horny all the time?" I blurted out.
He laughed. "What?"
"There are just times when I want it all the time." I said.
"Do girls get like that right before they get their period?" He asked in a teasing way.
"Oh my god." I said.
He laughed.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"I just assumed the P written on your calendar for Saturday meant period." He said.
"Oh my goodness." I said.
He just laughed.
"Maybe I should just put a star or something." I said.
"I'm still gonna know." He said.
"Yeah, I don't care if you know, but I don't want everyone else to know!" I said laughing.
"Move it into your bedroom." He said.
"Okay, let's stop talking about my period." I laughed. "We both embarassed eachother. We're even."
"Aww damn." He said. "I got more."
"I bet you do." I laughed.
"I'll save it for next time I feel like teasing you." He said.
"Dork." I said pushing him lightly.
We started walking back to the apartment. I felt a little better and I hoped he did too. I wasn't sure where that conversation exactly took us, but I felt better anyway. We went back inside and Brody was standing up against the wall near the couch.
"Oh hey." He said. "My Mom's gonna pick me up in like a half hour."
"What?" I asked.
"She's gonna clear some stuff out of her office so I can sleep there for a while." He said. "I'll just have to suck it up and take the bus to work."
