"Don't fall asleep, Blockhead." I heard. I opened my eyes and laughed. "I am SO NOT a BLOCK!" I said. "A block?" He asked. I started laughing really hard. "A Block HEAD." I said correcting myself. "Hey." He whispered. "What?" I whispered back. "Kiss me again." He said softly. "Brody, is that a good idea?" I asked. "Why not?" I giggled. "You are so cute." He pulled me on top of him and we started kissing again. He rolled me over after a while so he was on top of me. He started to unzip my jeans. "Brody!" I whispered kind of loud as I grabbed his hand. He just stared at me, then turned his head facing the TV. I climbed off of him. "I'm going to go to bed." I told him. I got him a blanket and handed it to him. "Thanks." He said taking it from me. "Goodnight." I said. "Goodnight." He said. I went to my bedroom and shut the door. "Oh my god." I said to myself. I fell asleep quickly and boy did I regret drinking the night before an early day of work the next day. I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. I took a long shower and felt a little better. I got ready for the day and went out to the kitchen to grab a poptart on my way out. Chris was already up and watching TV on the couch. "Hey." I said when he looked up at me. He just smiled. "Everything okay?" I asked as I opened the cubbard in the kitchen. I pulled out a poptart and threw it on the toaster. I walked back out to Chris. "Yeah, I'm okay." He said. "You look like something's bothering you." I said. "It's just that I. . . uh." He paused. "I. . . have to. . . um, work late tonight." "You uh have to uh work uh late tonight uh?" I said giggling. "I guess I was just caught off guard when I walked in last night and you and Brody were drunk." He said. "Yeah. We had a little too much to drink." I said. He smiled. "Do you want to drink with me tonight?" He asked. "Um, how about another night? I'm not feeling all that great right now. I don't think I could drink again tonight." I said. He looked dissapointed. "Alright. Just uh, let me know when you want to." "Will do, mister." I said. "I'll see you tonight." I grabbed my poptart and left. I kept thinking about Brody on the way to work. When I walked in, he was sitting behind the counter. He looked at me and smiled. It was weird. He would normally run up to me being loud as ussual. I went to the back. Rob was there looking through some guitar magazine. "Hey you. Good morning." He said. "Hi." I said as I clocked in. "I guess I'll sweep." He said jumping up. "I think I'm going to sit for a few minutes." I said. I sat down on the couch and layed back. "Are you sick? Cause if you so, you should go home. Robby don't get sick." He said. "I was up late drinking last night." I said. "Oh." He said. "There's some pain releiver crap in my backpack if you want some. Help yourself." He grabbed the broom out of the closet and left. I walked over to the little wall of lockers and opened Rob's. I dug through his backpack and found some Tylenol. I grabbed two and took them as I drank some water from the faucet in the bathroom. "Hey, you okay?" Brody asked as he peaked into the bathroom. "Yeah. Just have a headache." I said. "Me too." I smiled. "Well, I guess we should clean or something." I said. I picked up the dust rag and went out to the front. I dusted everything down. Slowly, the morning crew started to show up. They were all there by 9:00. They were suppose to be in at 7:30 to clean, so we could open the store by 8:00. Kevin walked in shouting about something and rushed to the back of the store. "Shit." Lukas said walking up to me. "What? What happen?" I asked. "Alright, everyone in the back!" Kevin said. We all rushed to the back and sat down. "The store opens at 8:00AM!" He shouted. "Not 8:15, not 8:30 and not 9:00!" "Maybe if everyone didn't come in whenever they felt like it, the store could be cleaned up in time to open it at 8:00." I said. Kevin walked over to the time cards. He picked up mine. "Every every day. Thank you, Blair." He said. He picked up Brody's. "Brody, nice." He said as he put his back and picked up Lukas' He turned to Lukas. "Lukas, you were late three days last week." He said. He was shouting as he looked at everyone elses. "Mike, man I need you to be here on time. I see you work late most days and I really appreciate that, but I need you here on time in the mornings." He told him. Mike nodded. "Can I count on you all to start getting here between 7:30 and 7:45?" Kevin asked. Everyone just nodded in silence. "I'll be here at 7:30 tomorrow." He told us. "I suggest you all get here on time." He stormed out of the store. Everyone looked mad at Brody and I. We all just went to where we were suppose to be that day according to the schedule. Brody, Lukas and I had to work the registers. "I'm only like five minutes late every day." Lukas complained. I didn't say anything. I didn't want Lukas of all people, to hate me. I decided to try saying something nice to him, even though I still felt five minutes late wasn't okay. "Kevin is strict about that kinda thing though." I said. "I just set my clocks early." "Maybe I should try that." He said. "You're really smart, you know that?" "You're really smart you know that?" Brody said in a stupid voice mocking him. We all laughed. "You guys are awesome, man." Lukas said.
