I looked over and Chris had fallen asleep. I got out of his bed quietly and picked up my trail of clothes that led to the living room. "Hey, Blair." I heard him say. I went to my bedroom and put my robe on. "Yeah?" I asked as I peaked into his room. "Where you going?" He asked. "To bed." "Oh." "Yeah. I have to get up early in the morning." I said. "Okay." "Goodnight, hun." I said. "Goodnight." I closed his door and went back to my room. I took off my robe and climbed into bed. My phone started ringing. I got up and ran out to the kitchen where my purse was. I pulled my phone out of it and answered it. "Hello?" "Blair." "What Brody?" I asked with annoyance. "I need your help." He said. I looked at the clock. "Brody, it's 2 in the morning. Can't it wait until tomorrow?" "I'm drunk." "And?" "My bike was stollen from the bar." He said. "Where are you?" I asked. "The Baton. . ." He said. "What?!" I asked. "Cool your jets. I'm not gay. I met up with Sherrie. She wanted to go dancing." He said. "Sherrie?" I asked. "I'll talk to you about it when you get here." He said. "Okay. Be right there." I said. I hung up the phone. Sherrie was Brody's ex girlfriend. He was really in love with her and she cheated on him more than once. "What's goin on?" Chris asked as he walked up behind me. He put his arms around me and kissed my neck. "I have to go pick up Brody." I said. "Do you want me to come with?" He asked. "No, it's okay." I said pulling away from him. I felt awkward for some reason and a little embarassed. I wasn't expecting him to come out, so I didn't bother to put any clothes on when I rushed out to answer the phone. "Thanks though." I said as I rushed back to my bedroom. I put some jeans on and my red hoodie. "Where are you picking him up from?" He asked. I picked up my purse and threw it over my shoulder. "Some club." I said. "You sure you don't want me to go with you?" He asked. "No, hun. I'll be fine. Go back to bed." I said smiling. "Wake me up when you back okay?" He said. I nodded and left. It was cold outside. I got in my car and started heading down Vine Street. It took me about a half hour to get to The Baton. I pulled up out front. There he was sitting on the edge of the sidewalk wearing just a t-shirt and shorts. He looked like he was freezing. I honked my horn and he looked up at me. He stood up and walked slowly to the car. It was annoying me so much that he was being so slow. He opened the door and peaked in. "I'm sorry." He said. "Just get in the car." I said. He got in and closed the door. "Where am I taking you?" I asked. "That's the thing. . ." He said. "What?" I asked. "I lost my apartment." He said. "How?" I yelled. "I missed two months of rent." He said. "Where is all your stuff?" I asked. "My Mom's." "Are you staying with her?" I asked. "There isn't any room for me to stay there." He said. "What are you getting at?" I asked. "Two weeks. That's all I ask." He said. "I'll sleep on the couch." "That's not going to work, Brody." I said. "I tried to pay them, Blair." He said. "They wouldn't take it." "Did you steel money from the store?" I asked. "No." "Brody?" "Yes. Geez. I'm puting it back in the morning." He said. "You can't stay with me. I'm sorry." I said. "Fine. Take me to my Moms." He said. I turned the car around and drove towards his Mom's. She had a beautiful little house in a nice part of town. "Guess I have to quit my job." He said. "Why?" I asked. "I'm taking the fucking bus all the way there from my Mom's house." He said. I made a U-turn right there. I squeeled the tires and we flew to the right side of the car. "Blair." He said. I ignored him. "Blair." He said a little louder. Once again, I Ignored him. "BLAIR!" He shouted. "What?!" I asked, very irritated. "I'm sorry." He said. "Why the hell were you with Sherrie tonight?" I asked. "She wanted to talk." He said. "What about?" "Getting back together." "You're an idiot." I said. Neither of us said anything the rest of the ride back to my apartment. I was so mad. I pulled up at my apartment and stormed up the stairs. When I opened the door, Chris was laying on the couch watching TV. "Damnit." I said under my breath. "What? What's goin on?" He asked as he sat up. I walked inside and Brody walked in behind me. I grabbed a blanket and threw it onto the couch. "One week, Brody." I told him. "You've one week." Chris gave me a strange look. "Okay." Brody said. He sat down on the couch and laid his head back. "He has to stay with us for week." I told Chris. Chris just nodded and went to his room. "You have no idea how much trouble this is going to cause." I whispered to Brody. I started walking towards my room. "Blair. Come here." He said. I turned around and walked back over to him. I sat down next to him on the couch. "Is there something you're not telling me?" He asked. "What?" I asked confused. "About Chris." "No. You know everything there is to know." I said. "How is me being here going to cause any problems?" He asked. I sighed. "I'm sure it will be fine. I'm sorry." I said. "I didn't mean for this to happen." He said. "I know. I'll help you find a place." I said. "No. I mean I didn't mean to fuck everything up." He said. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "When I kissed you." He said. "Brody, we were both drunk." I said. "You didn't send any negativity towards our friendship." "How did it make you feel?" He asked. "I don't think I want to discuss this." I said. "It was a mistake. We were drunk. That's all there is to it." "Alright then." He sighed. I got up. "Just get some sleep, hun. Okay?" I said. "We'll talk over lunch tomorrow." He nodded. He layed down and I pulled the covers over him. I smiled. "Sorry I was being so moody." I said. "That's okay. I can always tell when you're about to get your period." He laughed. "Brody!" I said laughing as I pushed him. He grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the couch so I was sitting on his stomach. "Am I wrong?" He asked. "None of your business." I said. "So I was right, then." He said. I heard something fall in the hallway. We both looked up. I listened closely and heard Chris' door close slowly. I sighed and layed back onto the couch. "That was kind of weird." He said. "I know." "You're right. I shouldn't be staying here." He said. "It's fine. Just stay. As long as you need to. I'm not letting you leave until you have enough money to get an apartment." I said. "Blair, I don't know. . ." He said. "You're staying." I told him. He nodded. "Alright." "We better get to bed. We work early." I said. "Yeah." I got up. "Nighty Night." I told him giggling. "Sweet dreams, baby cakes." He said.
