"Are you kidding me?" I heard Brody say as I walked into the back of the store. Him and Joe from the afternoon shift were sitting on the couch.
"Dude, Green Lantern could totally kick The Hulks ass!" Joe told Brody.
"No way." Brody said standing up and shaking his head. "No fucking way."
"You're wrong." Joe said. He clocked out. "See ya guys."
"He's crazy, sugar." Brody said walking over to me. He started to explain to me why The Hulk could easily kick Green Lantern's ass. I only half listened.
"Hey you never told me why you and Lindsey had such a crummy time together at the show." I interupted.
He looked at me confused. "Oh." He said. We both clocked out, said goodbye to Jake who was in the office, and headed out.
"Well, everything I did, she said was flirting and would get pissed off at me." He said.
"Like what?" I asked.
"Like when I took her hand to lead her through the crowd, she ripped her hand away giving me a dirty look." He said. "Then she stood next to me when we were at a good spot. So I stood behind her and put my arms around her. Just like I do with you or Sherrie or Julie." He said.
I laughed.
"She yelled at me to stop flirting with her. People looked too." He said.
"That's weird." I said.
"I know." He said.
We got in my car and I headed to his Mom's house. "I guess she thought me protecting her like I do with any other girl I take to a show, was me hitting on her." He said.
I laughed. "That's silly."
"Very." He said. "Anyway, that's why it sucked. Death Cab rocked though." He smiled.
"So, what do I wear Saturday night?" I asked.
"Just jeans or whatever's comfortable." He said. "It's nothing fancy. Casual's cool."
"Okay." I smiled.
"Joe's gonna head out there too. I hope that's cool." He said.
"How romantic." I said.
"What?" He asked.
"Nevermind. It sounds like fun." I said a little dissapointed.
"It will be." He said smiling.
I just smiled. I pulled up at his Mom's and he got out. "Bye." He said.
"Bye." I said smiling.
I watched him walk into his house before I went back home.
"Blair?" Chris asked as I walked into the apartment.
"Nope. Betty Boop." I giggled.
I heard him laugh. He walked into the living room. I sat back on the recliner. "What's up?" He asked.
I just shrugged my shoulders. "We okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." I smiled.
"What's goin on with you and Brody?" He asked.
"You know, I'm not quite sure." I said. "I thought he was taking me on a date, but he invited his friend along."
He laughed and held out his hand. I took it and he pulled me up.
"Work really sucked." He sighed.
We went to his bedroom. "Did it?" I asked.
"Yes." He said. "So, you and Brody are suppose to be dating now?"
"We'll see." I said.
He just laughed. He looked a little confused at the same time. I sighed and layed back on his chest. He started running his fingers through my hair. "Did I mention I had a rough day?" He said smiling.
I giggled and nodded.
"You're not gonna leave me hangin are you?" He asked.
"No." I said smiling.
