I sighed as I clocked out. All I wanted was to get home to Chris. "Hey, Blair." I heard Brody say. I turned around smiling. "Are we back to normal?" I asked. "Were we ever normal?" He asked. I just shrugged and giggled. He stepped close to me and put his hands on my waist. "Can we hang out tonight?" He asked. "I should probably get home to Chris." I said. He nodded and let go of me. He looked really disapointed as he stepped back. He nodded again and walked out the back of the store. I felt bad, but I was really not liking who I was and I just wanted to get back to my life again. I grabbed my purse and drug for my keys as I walked towards the couch. I jumped when I looked up and realized I had almost walked into Kevin. "Sorry." I said. He laughed. "Not a problem." I just smiled. We both just stood there and it made me feel awkward. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow." I said. He nodded. "Yeah." I smiled and walked out of the store. Brody was standing up against the passenger door. He was smoking a cigarette. "Still trying to get cancer?" I asked. He dropped it on the ground and stepped on it. "Nope. That was my last one, I promise." He said. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I understand that you want to be with Chris. I do. Completely." He said. "But, why does that mean you can't hang out with me anymore?" "I'm trying to get my life back to the way it was. I don't like who I was starting to become." I said. "I thought you hated your life before." He said. "No. It was perfect. I was just being stupid." I said getting upset. "Please come home with me." He said. "I can't. I'm sorry." I said. "Let's hang out tomorrow though. I can't be spending the night with other guys though." "Can I take you to a movie after work tomorrow? We both get off at 5:00." He said. "That sounds great. I would love to." I said smiling. He smiled back. His eyes lit up and for a second, I wanted to kiss him. I giggled and gave him a hug. I was starting to feel like my old self again. "Love you, hun." I said. "Love you too, babycakes." He said. He opened the door for me and I climbed into the car. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. "Drive safe." He said. "I will." I smiled and he closed the door. I watched him walk behind the store, then drove home. "Chris?" I called out when I walked in the door. "Honey?" "Hey." He said smiling as he walked out to the living room. I flipped my shoes off and ran over to him. He gave me a big hug. "I missed you." He said. "I missed you more." I said. "Look!" He said holding out his arm. His cast was off and his stitches were almost all disolved. "Aww yay!" I said giggling. "No more broken glass outbursts." He said. "I hope not." I said. He sighed and kissed me with a big smile on his face. "God, I love you." I said. "I am not god." He said. "Shut up." I giggled. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, then went running towards my bedroom.
