Sarah said...

"Damnit!" I shouted as I walked into my apartment. I threw my purse up against the wall and everything flew out of it. I sat down and called my Dad.
"Dad, Mom came to see me at work." I said as soon as he answered the phone.
"It's Len." I heard.
"Len?" I asked. "Oh."
Len was my cousin. We were the same age.
"Me and My Dad are here." He said. "I'll get your Dad."
"Hey, B.B." Dad said answering the phone.
"Dad, Mom came to see me at work today." I said.
"She told me." He said.
"What?"
"We've been in contact since you kids went to see her." He said.
"Oh."
"We met for dinner. I met Leo." He said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes." He said. "She looks great."
"Dad." I sighed.
He laughed. "Don't you worry about me, okay?"
"It's hard not to." I said.
"I'm fine." He said letting out a chuckle.
"Just be careful." I said.
"I'm being very careful. Shouldn't I be the one telling you to be careful?" He laughed.
I giggled. "I'll be careful if you promise me you'll be careful."
"Done deal." He said.
"Love you, Dad." I said.
"Love you too." He said and hung up.
My phone started ringing as I was walking to my bedroom.
"Hello?" I asked.
"It's Kevin."
"Hey, sorry about-"
"You listen to me." He interupted. "I understand that you're going through some personal things, but we all do and your work should be just as important. Now if you want to keep your job, I suggest you stop leaving early and calling in to work."
"Kevin, I-" I started to say before he hung up. "Fuck!" I shouted.
I went to my bedroom and layed down in my bed. I heard the front door open, then heard Chris singing in a high pitched voice.
"You make me feel like a natural woman! WOMAN!" He sang. I giggled.
"Chris?" I asked.
"Uh, Blair?" He asked. I looked up as he peaked into my room. He smiled. "I didn't know you were here."
"My car's out front." I said.
He smiled. "Yeah, I didn't notice that."
"Do you always sing songs like that?" I asked. I got up and walked over to him. He put his arms around me. "No. I don't." He said.
"Sure you don't." I giggled.
"I'm just now taking my lunch break." He said.
"Aww. Do you have to go back?" I asked.
"I probably should." He said.
"My Mom showed up at work." I said. "With my half brother."
"Didn't go so well?" He asked.
"He's eighteen." I said.
"Oh." He said looking down at me. "OH!" His eyes got big.
"Yeah." I said. "Apparently she's good at keeping secrets."
"I'm sorry." He said.
"It's okay." I said.
He put his arms around me.
"Question." I said.
"What's that?" He asked yawning.
"Simple Plan with Lukas, or Marlow with Brody." I said.
He laughed. "Marlow with Brody."
"Yeah." I sighed.
"I thought you were excited to hang out with Brody." He said.
"But Joe's going too." I said.
He let go of me and walked back to the living room. "I just don't think you should let him down." He said loudly.
I followed him to the kitchen. He opened the fridge. "YOU are telling ME to hang out with Brody?" I asked.
"You like him, don't you?" He said. "Wait, but you're also very attracted to Lukas. . ."
"Yeah." I said.
"And you're blushing. Go with Lukas." He said smiling.
"Crap." I said. I walked over to the couch and sat down.
"Orrrr." He said walking up to me.
"Or what?" I asked.
He smiled and stood in front of me. "You could stay in with me."
"You're not helping Chris." I said smiling.
"We'd have more fun here." He said sitting down next to me.
I sighed. "Damnit."
He laughed.
"Always making things more difficult, aren't ya?" I teased.
He smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
