"Zodiac?" I asked him in line. "Yeah." He said. He looked kind of nervous and a little shaky. I smiled, and took one of his hands in mine to steady it. He smiled at me. We made our way to the ticket counter. "Two for Zodiac." I said, and started to get my wallet out of my purse. "No. I got it." He said, and pulled out his wallet. "Thanks." I said, and we walked inside. "Snacks?" He asked. I shook my head no. "Not hungry?" He asked. "No." I said. "It's the drugs. I guess it's kind of opposite of pot." He said, and laughed. We did get a large soda to share though. We found some seats in the middle and sat down. He put the arm rest up, and pulled me over so I could rest on his shoulder. Then he put his arm around me, and rested his head on top of mine. I noticed his legs were shaking a little bit. "Don't go back. It's better here." I said after a few minutes. "How?" He asked. "It just is." I said. He was quiet. after a few more minutes I spoke again. "I don't want to go back home." I said. "Why?" He asked. "Chris is so mad at me. Everyone is." I told him. "They are madder at me." He said. I looked up at him and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry I made you give me the drugs." I whispered. "You didn't make me. You have every right to try stuff. I just hope I didn't cause any trouble." He said. "Is it bad-" I started to ask, then stopped. "What?" He asked. "Is it bad that I want to do it again?" I asked, finishing my question. "It's normal." He said. "Oh." I said. The house lights went down, and the previews started. I layed my head back down on his shoulder to watch the movie. When the movie was over he asked if he could take me home. "Sure." I said, trying not to cry. "The movie was good." He said. "I liked it." I told him. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Are you?" I snapped. "Sorry." "It's okay. And No. I'm losing it. I lied. To you, me and everyone else." He said. "About what?" I asked. "I can't stop. I'm as addicted as the next druggy." He said. "No you aren't." I said. "Then why am I with a beautiful, amazing girl, and only thinking about another fix?" He asked. "Then do it." I told him. "What?" He asked. "Then do it. But if you do it has to be with me." I told him. "No! I'm not dragging you down." He said. "You wont be." I told him. "Yes I will." He said. "No you wont." I said, and stopped walking. He stopped too, and turned to look at me. "I nned this." I told him. "What?" He asked. "You. I want you to be my excape." I told him. "Wow. No one has ever said that to me before." He said. "I mean it." I told him. "You are the only one that hasn't tried to use me, hasn't judged me, or gotten angry at me." I said, feeling myself want to cry again. I fought the urge. "I'll take you back to my bro's." He said, and I smiled. When we got to the apartment he walked me right back to the room he was staying in. He said it was his brothers room, and that him and his roomate were almost never home, so is brother gave him use of his bed. I thought that seemed weird, but didn't say anything. I just sat down on the bed. Rob started going through drawers. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Looking." He said. "For what?" I asked. "This." He said, holding up a pipe. "Now I just need his stash." He said, looking through more things. He reached under the dresser. "Ah ha!" He said, and untaped something from the bottom. It wasn't pot like we had expected. It was a sandwich baggie, that had four smaller baggies of coke inside. "Shit!" Rob said. "I must have forgotten he had this. Otherwise it would have been gone by now." "There isn't any pot?" I asked. "No. I looked in all his hiding places." He said. "Can we do that?" I asked, not believing what I was asking. Had I not just been at the movies with Rob just to keep him from getting some? "Yeah." He said. He was shaking badly now.
