The whole meeting had been about missing money. Kevin kept looking up at me while he was talking. As if I was the one that took it. It was making me so mad. When he was finaly done with his lecture he left and went home. "What is his problem?" I said to Brody. "I don't know. He must think you took it." He said. "I didn't!" I said. "I know that! But he aparently doesn't." Brody said. "Did you?" I whispered. He looked offended. "NO!" He said. "I told you I would never do that again." "Sorry." I said. "You should be." He said, and walked away. "Great." I muttered. I walked out front and over to Brody. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked you that. I know you wouldn't take it." I told him. "It's okay." He said. "No it's not. I'm sorry." I told him. "Apology accepted." He said, and smiled. I smiled back then walked to the counter. "Ready for a fun exciting day?" Lukas asked dryly. "Oh yeah." I said. "We just have to get through today. After work will be fun, I promise." He said. "I can't wait!" I told him. The rest of the day was a drag. Lukas was fun to work with, but everyone was in a crummy mood from Kevin's meeting. Our shifts were finaly up and Lukas and I went to the back to clock out. "What a long fucking day." Lukas said, and rubbed his eyes. "I hear ya. So, do you want to follow me home so I can drop off my car?" I asked him. "Yeah, sure." he said, and followed me out back. "I'll be right behind you." He said, and got into his car. I laughed and got into mine, then pulled out of the parking lot. I dropped my car off at the apartment, then climbed in Lukas' car. "You drive slow." He said, when I got in. "I drive normal." I said. "If normal is slow." He said, and laughed. "I'm just giving you a hard time." "Yeah, yeah." I said, He drove to his place, which happened to be really close to mine! "And YES! No roomate." He said, when he opened the door and looked around. The place smelled kind of old and musty, but it looked clean enough. It was a lot neater then Brody's place had ever been. He walked me back to his room, which was really cool looking! He had posters and pictures all over his walls and ceiling, and a big stereo in the corner. "Have a seat." He said, and pointed to his bed. I just sat down. I felt a little awkward, and had no idea what to say to him. He put on a CD, then left the room. I sat on his bed, tapping my fingers and looking around his room. He came back a minute later with two beers.
