"Well, that sucked." Lukas said as we walked into the store after our lunch break. He walked to the back of the store quickly. I sat down at the register and a little old lady walked up. She was so short, that I could barely see her over the counter. I leaned forward over the counter and smiled at her. She set a cd down on the counter and started rummaging through her purse. "John Denver." I smiled. "Great choice." She totally ignored me and I assumed she just couldn't hear me. Ariel giggled. I rang her up and she paid me with cash. "Keep the change, dear." The lady said. I looked at Ariel confused. Her used cd was only $4.50 and she had handed me a twenty dollar bill. "Ma'am!" I said as she started to walk away. She turned around. "You gave me a twenty." I told her. She smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe you could get your girlfreind some ice cream." She said, then walked out of the store. "What?" I asked looking at Ariel. She laughed. "I have no idea." Lukas walked up next to me and Ariel stepped down. "Have fun." She told us smiling. She ran to the back of the store and I laughed when she almost tripped through the doorway where the carpet was wripped a little. "Hey, Blair?" I heard Brody say. I saw him peak his head up around a big cardboard cut-out of The White Stripes. He walked around and looked at it, clapped his hands, then walked over to me. "What?" I asked him. "Follow me." He said. I laughed and hopped down from the counter. I followed him out to the back of the store and we went outside. "I am freaking out. I am not even excited about this anymore." He said. He sounded so frustrated. "Fuck!" He kicked some rocks off of the concrete. "I'm sorry. Kevin's bein' kind of a jerk, hu?" I said. He turned around and looked at me. He was breathing kind of heavy and he looked like he was ready to break something. He walked over to me and stared at me. I giggled. "Something I can do?" I asked. He nodded biting his bottom lip. He placed his hands on each side of my waist. He slowly pushed me back up against the building and started kissing me. He kissed me long and hard. We heard a car coming and he let go of me. He took a deep breath. "Thank you." He said. "So so much. Thank you." A van pulled up as I put my on my mouth. I watched Brody greet the men stepping out of the van. At first I thought it was the band, but they started unloading boxes from it. "Brody?" I said as he was walking by with a big box in his hands. He looked at me for a second, then just smiled. I smiled back. I followed him inside and walked back to the registers. "Twenty more minutes and they'll be here." Lukas said. "Uh huh." I said. I was not looking forward to the chaos that was ahead and now I couldn't get my mind off of Brody. I sighed and rest my head on the counter. "Guess I'm the only one excited." Lukas said. I closed my eyes. I heard him start flipping pages in a magazine. "I'm gonna take a quick break." I said yawning. I stepped outside and called Chris. "Hey you." He said. "Hey. Things are kinda crazy here, I need to get my mind off of it all for a few minutes." I said. "I've got about five minutes till my break is over." He said. "Oh I'm sorry." I said. He laughed. "I'd love to spend the rest of my break talking to you." He said. I giggled. "I can not wait to get home." He said. "Neither can I. Let me tell ya!" I said. He laughed. "Friends and Pizza Hut?" He asked. "Yes! I'll be looking forward to it." I said. "Season 4. I'll pick up the pizza on my way home." He said. "Yay." I said excited. "See ya. Good luck at work." He said. "Thanks." I said. "See ya."
