"Rain?" I asked when I heard whispering on the other line. "Hey, you." She said softly. "Can I call you back? I'm kind of in the middle of something. . ." "Oh my god. Yes, call me back tomorrow." I said. She giggled and hung up. I decided to call Rob. "Blair, it's late. Are you okay?" He asked. "No. I'm not." I said trying not to cry again. I took a deep breath. "Are you at home?" He asked. "Yeah." "Do you want me to come pick you up?" He asked. "Um." I said looking at the clock, then I remebered I didn't have to work tomorrow. "Yeah." "I'll be there in about a half hour, is that okay? I need to make a beer run." He said. "Okay." "See you soon." He said and hung up.
"I just need a break from my life." I told Rob as we pulled out of my apartment complex. "Hmm." He said. "You know, I'm not really sure I'm the best person for you to be hanging out with. . ." "Why?" "Well, I guess you're about to find out." He said. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Well, I don't do this shit around Lukas, so we're going to my friend Anthony's if that's cool." He said. "You'll get to meet my cousin Brandon too." "You don't do what shit around Lukas?" I asked. "Drugs. I smoke pot at home once in a while, but I won't do anything else there." He said. "What else do you do?" I asked. "Whatever I feel like doing. . . I'm not picky." He stopped the car in front of a house. "You know what? You shouldn't be here." He started the car again. "I want to be here." I said. He looked at me. "Does Chris know you're out?" He asked. "I left a note on the door." I said. "Will he be upset if you're gone for the night?" He asked. "Well, considering he is just my roommate, he shouldn't care." I said getting defensive. "Okay, cool. Just making sure. Cause you're going to be gone for the night. I can take you back before my shift tomorrow." He said. "Okay." He turned off the car and took off his seatbelt. "Sure you want to be around this?" He asked. "I think it will be the perfect way to get my mind off of everything." I said. "I've got my favorite taxi company on my phone." He said. "Please let me know if you want to leave at any time and I'll call a taxi to take us to my place. Okay?" "Okay." "If you get uncomfortable or anything, Blair please let me know." He said. "Rob." I laughed. "I will be fine." He sighed. "Alright." We got out of the car and walked up to the front door of the house. He pulled his keys out of his pocket and unlocked the door. We walked in and he closed the door behind him. He took my hand in his and we walked down the hallway to a bedroom door. He knocked on it. "It's Rob fuckers. Let me in." He said as he lit up a cigarette. Smoke flew towards my face and I coughed. The door opened and I heard a few girls giggling. There was a guy standing there. He had a lot of black eye makeup on and he was wearing bright red pants that I noticed right away. "This Blair." Rob told him. "Darren." The guy said. He shook my hand. He opened the door wider and Rob guided me into the room. There were a bunch of people just hanging out in there. Most of them looked really out of it. Rob sat down on the floor and motioned for me to sit down in front of him. I smiled and sat down. He put his legs out in front of him and put his arms around me. "Let me know if you get uncomfortable." He whispered in my ear. "I know. I will." I said softly. He introduced me to everyone in the room. I knew that within two seconds, I would forget everyone's name. Rob pulled money out of his pocket. "Hook me up." He told Darren as he handed him his cash. Darren handed him a bag of white powdery looking stuff. Rob put it in his pocket right away. "I'll do it later." Rob told Darren after getting a strange look from him. "Are you holding out because of me?" I asked. "Shh." He said. "It's fine." "But, I don't care." I said. "Blair, I'm not going to give you drugs." He said. I felt like crying again. I got on my knees and turned around facing him. I put my arms around him. "Please." I said. He just looked at me. "Please." I said again. "Damien. Pass me your pipe." Rob said. "That's all you get from me." I turned back around and he reached over, grabbing the pipe from Damien. He pulled me back into his chest and lit it while taking puff's of it. "Here." He said holding it up to my mouth. My heart was racing as he placed it up to my mouth. "Lady's and gentleman." Rob said loudly. "Blair's first hit." I giggled. "Now I have to go be hardcore." Rob said pushing me forward and standing up. "I'll be right back." He handed Damien his pipe and walked out of the room. I thought it was silly that he was embarassed to do drugs in front of me. "Did you want more?" Darren asked. "I'll wait till Rob get's back." I said. He nodded at me and smiled. "I can help you." He said. "It's okay." I smiled. "Alright." He said. Rob walked back into the room and sat back down behind me. I layed back onto his chest. He motioned for Damien to hand him the pipe again.
