"You are what?" Chris asked, still laughing. I had told him three times already. "SHUT UP! I'm Reggie, Jakes imaginary girlfriend tonight." I told him, and he started laughing again. "GO AWAY! I need to get ready!" I told him, and shut my door. I could hear him laughing as he walked down the hall. "What did I get myself into." I said, and finished applying my mascara. "BLAIR!" Chris shouted. "HOLD ON!" I yelled back. I checked myself over in the mirror real quick and walked out. Jake was the door and was laughing with Chris. "SHUT UP! Both of you!" I said. "Bye Reggie." Chris said, and him and Jake started laughing again. "SHUT UP JAKE! It's your stupid name!" I said, and he tried to stop laughing. "Lets go." I said, and we left. We pulled up to his house and there were two beat up vans parked out front. "Ahhh, home sweet home." He said, and I giggled. "What?" He asked. "Nothing. I've just seen this all before." I told him, and he laughed. "Right, your mom is a hippy too." He said. We got out, and he pulled me close to him. "Thank you so, so much." He said. "Yeah, yeah. Thank me with Luke Wilson." I told him, and he laughed. "Okay. I'm going to hold your hand now." He said, and I started laughing. "Okay. You don't have to tell me before you do that." I said. He took my hand and we walked in. "Ma? Dad?" He shouted, and closed the front door behind them. There was stuff everywhere! Not trash or junk, per say, but stuff. All the furniture was mismatched, and everything was kind of cluttered. It still felt kind of homey though. "IN THE DEN SON!" A woman shouted. Screamed, actualy and I jumped. Jake laughed. "Oh, this is going to be fun." He said. We walked in and his mom was sitting at a sewing machine sewing what I assumed was a skirt. I just knew it was flowery, long and it looked flowy. I found out later that it was actualy curtains. "Mom." Jake said, and she stood up and hugged him. She was really thin and had on a croucheted halter top, a long skirt and brown sandels. She looked really young, despite her outfit. "And you must be Reggie!" She said, and hugged me. She hugged me so tightly I almost fell over. Jake chuckled. "You are prettier then I expected with a name like Reggie." She said, smiling. Jake laughed. "MOM!" He said. "Oh hush!" She told him. "Go help your dad. He's by the firepit cooking dinner." She said, and pointed outside. "Uh, okay." He said. I looked at him freaked out. He just shrugged, mouthed he was sorry, and left. "Come on! I want to show you some pictures." She said. "Um, okay." I told her. we sat down on a couch in the den and she pulled out a big photo album. "This is Jake when he was 7." She said, pointing to a little boy. He was facing away from the camera, and all I could see was his bare butt. He was jumping into a lake. I tried so hard not to laugh. "He was so cute." I told her. "Yeah. He had the cutest tush." She said, and I laughed. "He hated clothes. We let him run around naked all he wanted." She said. I could feel the corners of my mouth wanting to curl up in laughter, but I fought it. She showed me several pictures, only a few were of Jake naked. The rest were when he was older, and clothed. There was a whole section of a trip to a nude beach. "Go figure! He wants to be naked his whole life, and when we take himto a place where he can be, he wont step out of his swimming trunks." She said pointing to a picture of Jake standing with a topless woman. He looked so embarassed...he was probably 14 or 15. "Kids." She said, and I giggled. "So, how did you meet?" She asked me. "Um..." Jake didn't tell me what to say. "We met at Tracks." I told her. "Oh, he loves that place!" She said. She talked on and on telling countless stories about Jake. Jake and his dad walked in with a plate full of food from the firepit outside, just in time to finish her last story. "And THAT was how he learned about the birds and the bees." She said. We were both laughing. "MOM! What the hell!" Jake said. "Laungauge son." His dad said. He had really long black hair, with hints of gray in it. They walked to the kithcen with the food. "Well, would you care to help me set the table?" She asked me. "I would love to." I told her. I was confused when she walked me into what looked like a living room, instead of the kitchen. She opened a cabinet and started pulling out plates and cups and setting them around a wide square coffee table. I remembered my moms old friends Blue and Sam. They ate at a coffee table too, and I laughed. We set everything up, and Jake and his dad walked out with veggie kabobs, roasted corn on the cob, and some kind of tofu dish. They set everything down, and we all sat down to eat. Jake and I on one side, and his mom and dad on the other. Jake kissed my cheek and startled me.
