"DUDE!" Brody shouted when I walked into the back of the store.
"What?" I asked.
"Guess who is having a signing at the fucking store?" He asked.
"I don't know." I told him.
"The White Stripes!" He shouted.
"Oh cool." I said.
"Oh cool? That's it!!! THE WHITE STRIPES!" He yelled.
"She hasn't heard of the White Stripes either?" Lukas asked, walking in.
"I've heard of them! I've just never really listened to them." I said.
"Well you are going to start!" Brody said, and I laughed. He walked out front and left Lukas and I to clock in.
"Hey, do you like Simple Plan?" He asked me.
"Yeah. That is a band I actually listen to." I told him.
"I've got an extra ticket for their show Saturday." He said.
"Really? I heard the sold out." I said.
"Yeah. I was wondering if you wanted to go?" He asked.
"I would love to!" I told him.
"I think I'm suposed to go see a local band with Brody though."
"Oh, thats cool." He said.
"Let me see if he minds if I cancel. I would kill to see Simple Plan." I told him.
"Well, let me know. The ticket is yours if you want it." He said, and smiled.
"Thanks." I said.
"Sure." He told me, and walked out front.
"Shit." I said under my breath. I felt like a jerk, but I loved Simple Plan.
"Hey Blair." Ariel said, poking her head in the back.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Some lady is up front asking for you." She said.
"Some lady?" I asked.
"Yeah." She said, then left. I walked out behind her and saw my mom up front.
"Mom?" I asked, and walked up and gave her a hug.
"Blair." She said.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I wanted to see you. I'm out!" She said, and threw her hands in the air.
"That's great. How did you know where I work?" I asked her.
"Sage." She said. "I wanted to see you guys right away after I got out." She said.
"Wow. This is crazy. Where are you staying?" I asked her.
"I'm staying with your aunt. And with Leo. Here is their address. It's about an hour away." She said, and handed me a piece of paper. I put it in my pocket.
"I'll call tonight. Maybe swing by." I told her.
"Thank you." She said, and smiled. I smiled back and gave her a hug.
"Uh, I've got to work." I told her.
"Oh, okay. I'll uh...bye." She said, kind of awkwardly.
"Bye." I said, and she left. I touched the paper in my pocket and then ran to the back. I sat down on the couch and started crying.
"You okay?" Jake asked me.
"No. I need to go home!" I told him.
"Yeah, sure." He said.
"Thanks." I said, and ran out of the store. I got in my car and drove home as fast as I could.
