Chapter Sixty-Six

Sarah said...

"Blair?" Chris shouted as he walked in the door. "Hey, Blair?"
He walked into the bedroom. I was folding some laundry. He started to help fold.
"Sarah got an apartment. I co-signed." He said smiling.
"Oh." I smiled. "Cool."
"Tonight's her last night here. She should be getting her key tomorrow afternoon." He said.
I just smiled.
"Everything okay?" He asked.
I nodded smiling. "Yeah."
"Just checking." He said. He set down a sock and walked around behind me. He put his arms around me. "I've kinda missed not having privacy. I miss you walking around in those little shorts." He said.
I giggled.
He laughed and let go of me. "So, dinner. What do you want?" He asked. "I was thinking I could go pick up a couple pizzas."
"That sounds good." I said smiling.
He smiled back and winked. "I'll be back." He said. He left the room. I sat down on my bed and sighed. I felt like crying. I put all the clothes away and heard a light knocking. I looked up and Sarah was standing in the doorway.
"Hi." She said smiling.
"Hey." I said. "Congratulations on the apartment."
"Thanks." She said. "I know we havn't really gotten a chance to talk much. . ."
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry about the tape thing." She said.
"Oh, it's okay." I said throwing my hand in the air. "I'm over it."
"It's nice to see my baby brother with a nice girl." She said. "I've never seen him so happy and out of trouble."
I just smiled and nodded trying to hold back my tears. As soon as she walked out of the room, I ran over and closed the door. Tears started to stream down my face. "Damnit." I sobbed. After a few minutes, I was able to calm down. I wiped my eyes and fixed my makeup. When I heard Chris get back, I went out to the living room. I sat down on the couch and looked up. Chris smiled at me. "Dinner is served." He said opening one of the pizza boxes. Sarah giggled and jumped up. She got a plate and took a few slices. "Blair?" Chris said. I smiled and stood up. "I got something for you." He whispered. "It's kinda kinky."
I giggled. "Shh."
He laughed.
"What is it?" I asked.
"You'll have to wait until bedtime." He said.
I smiled. "Dork."
I got a peice of pizza and sat back down on the couch. Chris turned on the TV. "We're watching Old School." He told us.
Sarah laughed.
"We are big Will Ferrel fans." He told her. "And Luke Wilson." He looked at me and I laughed. He turned on the movie and sat down next to me. I felt awkward after sleeping with Brody. "Am I any better than my Mother?" I asked myself. Sarah and Chris laughed.
"Sure you're okay?" Chris asked me as he put his hand on my leg. I figured he noticed I wasn't paying attention to the movie, because I wasn't laughing.
"Yeah." I said smiling.
He gave me a strange look. I looked at the tv and started laughing.
"No, I am better than my Mother." I thought to myself when I looked at each of our situations. I finished my peice of pizza and Chris put his arm around me. I layed back on his shoulder while we watched the rest of the movie.
