Sarah said...

"Are you crying?" Brody asked with a smirk on his face.
"Shut up." I told him as I pushed him. I was trying not to laugh at myself.
"They end up happy." He said.
"Yeah I know. That's why I'm crying." I said.
"I thought people cried when they were sad." He said.
"And happy!" I giggled. "Stop making fun of me." I pushed him again and he just laughed. He got up and turned off the movie. He turned to me. "What now?" He asked.
"I don't know."
"Hmm." He said smiling. He sat back down next to me. We sat there for at least a minute not saying anything.
"So. . ." He said.
I sighed.
He stood up. "I am not good at this."
"Why do you feel you have to be any different?" I asked.
He put his hands in his pockets and looked down at his feet. That was what he did when he was nervous, so I could always tell when he was. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Truth or Dare?" I asked him.
He looked at me. "What?"
"Choose one quickly, or you're getting a dare." I said.
"What are we in high school again?" He asked.
"Okay. Dare."
"No!" He said quickly.
I laughed.
"Truth."
"Why are you nervous right now?" I asked.
"Because of the things running through my mind right now." He said.
"What thoughts are running through your head right now?" I asked.
"You only get one question per round." He said. He started to look even more nervous.
"Okay." I said smiling.
"Well?" He asked.
"What?"
"Truth or Dare." He said.
"Truth."
"Okay. . ." He said. He started to rock side to side. "Can I ask you something about Chris?"
"Sure." I said.
"Do you-"
"Nope." I interupted. "You only get one question per round."
"Hey, that's not fare." He said.
I laughed. "I think it is."
He smiled.
"Truth or Dare." I said.
"Truth."
"What are you thinking about?" I asked.
"You."
"What about me?"
"One question per round." He said.
"Brody?"
"What?"
"What are you thinking?" I asked.
"Are you in love with Chris?" He asked.
"No!" I said.
"Then I dare you to kiss me." He said.
"I didn't choose dare." I said.
He just stood there staring at me.
